Birding Beyond Binoculars at Sinhgad Valley

Nestled near Khadakwasla, Sinhgad Valley is a scenic landscape of open grasslands, scrub, and forest patches below the historic Sinhgad Fort — home not just to a rich variety of resident and migratory birds, but to the plants, insects, and other wildlife that make up the valley's wider web of life.

Join educator Chinmay Rahane for a guided walk on 25th October 2026 that treats birding as a way into the valley's wider ecology, not just an exercise in spotting and naming birds. As you explore the valley's trails, you'll look at birds alongside the plants they feed on, the insects they hunt, and the habitats — grassland, scrub, forest edge — that shape where and how they live, building a fuller picture of how everything here is connected.
