Why this program?
Problem & Vision
The Problem We're Addressing
In an increasingly urbanized world, the connection between people and nature is fading. This disconnection leads to a lack of awareness, empathy, and motivation to address urgent ecological crises. We believe that effective, inspiring nature education is the critical bridge that can rebuild this relationship. However, many individuals who are passionate about nature lack the formal skills and training to translate their knowledge into truly engaging, impactful educational experiences that foster both wonder and responsibility.
Our Vision (Theory of Change)
The Nature Narrator Program is founded on the belief that a well-trained educator can transform a simple walk in the woods into a profound, life-changing experience.
By equipping passionate individuals (Teachers, Naturalists, and Enthusiasts) with a deep understanding of ecological principles and advanced experiential teaching skills, we enable them to design and lead programs that cultivate genuine curiosity and empathy in their participants. This newfound connection and understanding ultimately inspires a commitment to personal stewardship and collective conservation action, leading to a more ecologically conscious and active society.

The course has a great balance of technical knowledge, field experience and creativity. The facilitators, all experts in their fields, were deeply engaged throughout the whole course which was very helpful for the participants. The camp and assignments have given me the right tools to confidently engage with school students and others, and they have sharpened my understanding of the other-than-human species that we share our world with.
