Discovering Butterflies at Taljai Tekdi

Located in the heart of Pune, Taljai Tekdi (Sahakarnagar) is a well-loved urban hill known for its green trails, native vegetation, and panoramic views of the surrounding cityscape. As the season turns, the hill's slopes come alive with flowering plants and a striking variety of butterflies that flit between them.

Join educator Vikram Gupchup for a guided walk and sketching session on 4th October 2026 dedicated to discovering the butterflies of Taljai Tekdi. Alongside spotting butterflies along the trails, participants will pause at intervals to observe individual butterflies closely and sketch what they actually see — wing shapes, colours, patterns, and markings — building the kind of careful, factual observation that goes beyond simply naming a species into truly understanding how it looks.
