Nature Discovery Walk at Pashan Lake

Nestled within the city of Pune, Pashan Lake is a peaceful urban wetland known for its rich birdlife, lakeside vegetation, and calm natural surroundings. In June, with the arrival of the monsoon, the lake and its surrounding habitats begin to transform as fresh greenery appears, insects become active, and migratory and resident birds fill the landscape with movement and sound.
Join educator Ganesh Jagdale for a guided Nature Discovery Walk (NDW) that encourages children and parents to slow down, observe, and experience the changing rhythms of nature during the monsoon season. As you walk along the lake trails and surrounding green spaces, you’ll discover aquatic plants, spot birds and insects, and notice the many small interactions that make this wetland ecosystem so vibrant and important.
